Geography & Course
It’s a 105 km long continuation of the Sugandha River in the Barisal Division, flowing through Jhalokati and Barguna districts before emptying into the Bay of Bengal . The river is entirely tidal, with an average width of 1–2 km and depth reaching around 16 m .
It serves as the main river of Kathalia Upazila and forms branching canals across the region .
