EWI XCL 8.25 took place at the home gym of the Elite Wrestling Initiative known as Purgatory in Mandan, North Dakota on Thursday, August 28, 2025 and featured a mini-tournament to determine a number one contender for the EWI Epic Championship who would main event EWI Boiling Point in Valley City against Lilith Grimm. The finalists from two triple threat matches consisted of the former EWI Epic Champion, the Rebel Embracer, RBJ. Can he climb back to the top and reclaim his coveted gold and prove he IS the top man in the EWI? Or would "The Chaotic Nightmare" C-Rex earn her chance to face off against the WarHammer and prove who truly is the alpha of the EWI?
