This is SO niche, I know, I know..

Let me explain

I've got quite a big work event in a couple of week's time (RIP) and it's making me wayyy more anxious than usual

So, I've been trying to relax by rewatching films I loved as a kid

This one came out when I was like, 8 years old? Even though I didn't know what 'shipping' was until I discovered Zutara and fanfiction .net, I remember being SUPER gutted that Layla picked her idiot friend over the edgy antihero hahaha

So I re-watched it on Saturday morning, and here we are a day or so later...

I mean seriously - this guy was so sweet? The tropes are also top-tier: fake dating, character redemption, enemies to friends to lovers.. UGH!! WHERE IS THE JUSTICE!!!

Seriously though, are there any canon examples in films where the 'villain' actually does get the girl? All I can think of is Megamind and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker ... let me know!
