Summary

Tadano returns from a student committee meeting, and encounters Komi standing in front of the door. Komi and Tadano prepare to leave together, but Tadano's umbrella was stolen by Najimi, and it's raining. Komi silently offers to share her umbrella, which Tadano initially refuses, but eventually relents. As they walk though the rain, they accidentally touch shoulders, Tadano is quick to move away. He offers to hold her umbrella, if it makes her uncomfortable. When he does, Komi notices that Tadano is sheltering her more while allowing his shoulder to get wet from the rain. When they reach a convenience store, Tadano buys another umbrella and some towels for them to dry off with. Tadano, curious, asks if Komi saw Najimi's note and waited for him so they could share her umbrella, Komi says nothing, but Tadano realises that it is true, as the rain comes to a stop.

It is possible that Najimi, knowing that Komi would wait for Tadano, intentionally took his umbrella so they would walk home together
