Aprilia Tuono 1100 Factory V4 Adrenaline Battle w Ducati Diavel At Road ATL July 8 2023

Nothing like Aprilia on fresh rubber on track in the summertime! Stretching the legs on my always impressive 2019 Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory Summit Attack Edition (No.24 of 25) with my guy‪@CameronRides‬ and friends with Sportbike Track Time At ‪@RoadAtlantaLLC‬ We are running intermediate group. It was hot and sticky which had the Pirelli SC3's working perfectly! Here's just a few quick clips from the day. And shout out to Ducati Diavel dude who was riding great. *UPDATE: unbeknownst to me during the filming of this video, I had low/no compression in cylinder number three. This is why I was having trouble keeping up with bikes I should have been having no problems with. I ended up having to replace a head because of the valve guides on cylinder number three had been damaged from the exhaust valves becoming too tight. If you are going to track your V4 Aprilia often/regularly, it behooves you to check them in half the interval or 6200 miles. (Aprilia actually has two different maintenance schedules, a street regular maintenance schedule and a race track schedule. The intervals are much shorter on the track schedule) I did not know this and this was my fourth track day in a total of 8000 miles from my last valve check. The damage happened right around the 7 to 8000 mile mark. I actually first noticed it on this track day. Had I checked at 6200 miles, the damage could have been prevented. Also, over revving/red lining this bike and beating the motor up is not necessary. I’ve learned to ride it in a more gentle fashion, while still going plenty fast, but this also helps prevent excessive valve tightening prematurely. This is a trait of the Aprilia V4 motor and one you should be aware of.
