This the story of the wreck of the Allen Line Steam Ship Hungarian. It was destroyed with more than 200 on board on February 20 1860 on the Cape Ledges near Cape Sable Island, Nova Scotia. That tragic event occurred 160 years ago this date. It first struck the ledges on the night of February 19 and sank the next day.
