Rajasthani Association Tamilnadu presents 2nd edition of its prestigious ‘Rajasthani-Tamil Seva Awards 2026’ - an initiative to honour exceptional contributions of the individuals and institutions towards the people of Tamilnadu. The awards will be presented under 8 different categories such as Agriculture & Rural development, Education & Healthcare, Environment & Sustainability, Arts & Culture, Entrepreneurship & Industry, Media & Communication, Public Service & Governance and Social welfare each carrying a cash prize of Rs.2 Lakhs along with a trophy & citation are bestowed to the awardees. The association invites nominations which is open to public on www.rajasthanitamil.org website from 12th November, 2025 and remain open until 5th December, 2025. All the nominations then will be evaluated on the basis of their impact, integrity, and alignment with the awards objectives by the screening committee. Final selection of awardees is chosen by a Jury consists of eminent personalities, chaired by S.Gurumurthy (Editor of Thuglak Magazine), N.Ravi (Senior Journalist, Former Editor-in-Chief, The Hindu), Dr.Padma Subramanyam (Padma Vibhushan Awardee, famous Bharatanatyam Scholar), Narendra Srisrimal (Ex-Officio, President of Rajasthani Association Tamilnadu) to name a few. The first-ever Rajasthani-Tamil Seva Awards were hosted in March, 2025 witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, social leaders and changemakers from diverse fields, notably Hon’ble Justice K.R.Shriram (Chief Justice of Madras High Court) were the Chief Guest. The awardees were Dr.Irai Anbu (Former Chief Secretary of Tamilnadu) for Public Service, C.D.Sanath Kumar (Founder, Cambridge & Indus Valley Schools) bringing service, innovation in the field of Education, Swami Vivekananda Rural Development Society in the field of Social welfare and transforming rural life since 1979 and M.Yoganathan known as ‘The Tree Man of India’ in the field of Environment Sustainability by planting and nurturing 35 lakhs saplings making baren lands into green havens – Prime Minister Narendra Modi has mentioned him in his ‘Man Ki Baat’ program in 2021. The Rajasthani-Tamil Seva Awards 2026 is planned on 1st February, 2026 in Chennai, lead by Awards committee which has Ajit Chordia - Chairman, CA Anil Khicha - Convenor, Narendra Srisrimal – President Rajasthani Association Tamilnadu and Dinesh Kothari – General Secretary – Rajasthani Association Tamilnadu. Rajasthani Association Tamilnadu founded in the year 1967, inaugurated by former Chief Minister late C.N.Annadurai, has been at the forefront in social service, promoting culture, community welfare, business & local employment in addition to promoting rich heritage of Rajasthani community while fostering unity, inclusivity in Tamilnadu.
Narendra Srisrimal, President of Rajasthani Association Tamilnadu said in the Press briefing – “We initiated Rajasthani-Tamil Seva Awards last year to honour individuals and institutions that serve benefits under the award categories to the people of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Our shortlisting committee and Jury make sure none from the Rajasthani community in Tamilnadu is considered to any of the awards. This awards are for people of Tamilnadu.”
CA Anil Khicha, Convenor of Rajasthani-Tamil Seva Awards 2026 said in the Press briefing – “We have constituted a shortlisting committee and Jury to choose deserving awards. We present the top 5 awardees from 8 categories as mentioned, each awardee receiving a cash prize of Rs.2 Lakhs, trophy and a citation. The Rajasthani Association Tamilnadu members or leadership team has no role in deciding the awardees and the decision is made by the Jury with a due-diligence process based on authenticity and merits of awardees. The nomination is open for applicants from 12th Nov, 2025 until 5th Dec, 2025 to file online at www.rajasthanitamil.org”
