On Friday, April 12, Moore College of Art & Design hosted its 11th annual Game Changers event spotlighting artists making waves in the field of animation.
This year’s event highlighted three Asian American artists—Amy Lee Ketchum, Mariel Kinuko Cartwright, and Hsiang Chin Moe—in a panel discussion about their experiences and insights. Watch on to hear from our 2024 panelists!
About the Panelists:
Amy Lee Ketchum is a Chinese American artist and animator based in Philadelphia, where she creates poetic narratives and abstract worlds that draw from her memories, metaphysical narratives, and dance. Her directorial work has been shown on broadcast television and in various international film festivals. Hsiang Chin Moe is the inaugural BFA Animation Chair at the School of Visual Arts in New York City where she brings a wealth of experience as an artist and industry professional. Mariel Kinuko Cartwright is a freelance artist and creative consultant at the indie studio Future Club. She specializes in 2D art and animation, with work on titles like Skullgirls, Indivisible, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game, and more.
