If you are trying to delete or remove some volumes\partitions using the Windows Disk Managment tool, you may find that the delete volume option is greyed out or even missing. This can happen when trying to delete the EFI system partition or the Windows recovery partition. To get around this problem you can use the diskpart command or the free NIUBI Partition Editor software to remove these volumes and get your space back.
