‘Leaving of Liverpool’ is one of the great old ballads that was born from emigrants moving to and from different cities sometime in the later half of the 1800s. It’s sung in America, Australia, and the British Isles, and has many different versions and cousin songs. Once again we are very lucky to have @helenlundyviolin on this recording with us!
