Reading session in the OET and IELTS tests are challenging for most of the candidates. By increasing reading speed, candidates can save time and hence score required grade. For this, you have to know your reading speed. This video will help you to know your reading comprehension speed.

A normal rate for learning is 100-200 wpm, and for comprehension, it is 200-400 wpm. Speed reading is normally done at a rate of around 400-700 wpm. Anything above 500-600 wpm means sacrificing comprehension, although this varies from person to person.

Reading comprehension is the ability to process text and understand its meaning. Fundamental skills required in efficient reading comprehension is the ability to understand the meaning of a word in the given context.

OET - Occupational English Test is an English language test for healthcare professionals. IELTS or International English Language Testing System is an international standardized test of English language proficiency for non-native English speakers.
