This video shows off more of what Diddy Kong is like in this game, and also some more of the game's features, such as the ability to cling to and climb patches of grass.
I find Diddy a lot more enjoyable to use in this game, not only does he have his jetpack, but he's a bit faster, harder to hit due to his size, and can stun or kill most enemies at a distance with his peanut pop gun.
