Hamas has released five of the six hostages scheduled to be freed from captivity on Saturday.
The five men handed over to the Red Cross included three Israelis who were taken hostage during the Nova music festival and another taken while visiting his family in southern Israel.
The agreement includes the exchange of hundreds of Palestinians prisoners being held by Israel. This comes as the ceasefire experienced a brief setback this week when Hamas handed over the wrong body for Shiri Bibas, an Israeli mother of two young boys who was kidnapped on Oct. 7. Israeli officials have since confirmed that they did receive the remains of Bibas.
