Here is my step by step, beginners painting tutorial on how to paint a realistic horse on a black canvas. I'm going to show you exactly how it is done, in this painting tutorial I will show you how to paint a realistic looking horse head in a time saving manner. We will go over the whole process of pre-sketch, underpainting and finishing the painting, you will get lots of tips and tricks how to paint the details of the eye etc. Painting with acrylics is easy and this painting tutorial demonstrates simple acrylic painting for beginners and shows painting steps in an easy and fun way.

Also, this painting will help any skill level artist be able to approach blending techniques.

I used canvas in 16" X 20" size.
Black, White from Monte Marte and varnished with glossy varnish from Liquitex.
