KVN 100 - Śruti Laya Kalānadi - Centenary Biographical Film

Gaanapriya Foundation in association with Rasika Ranjani Sabha, Mylapore, celebrated the birth centenary of Mahāvidvān Saṅgīta Kalānidhi K V Narayanaswamy on the 15th of November, 2023, at Rasika Ranjani Sabha. On that occasion, a biographical film on the life and music of Sri KVN was screened to a packed auditorium of rasikas and musicians. The film was also privately screened on a few more occasions, to much acclaim. This film is a labour of love, offered to the great musician who continues to move so many rasikas even today through his mellifluous renditions. We are extremely grateful for all the support we received from Rasika Ranjani Sabha, Mylapore, in connection with the centenary event and the screening of this film. We are also eternally indebted to all the great vidwans, vidushis and music connoisseurs who took the time to be a part of this biographical film, and share their memories of Sri KVN. We are also extremely thankful to the team of Sri V Navaneet Krishnan, Sri Vytheeshwaran Vedagiri and Sri Baradwaj Raman for the immeasurable efforts they took in making this documentary film such a resounding success. Finally, we are immensely indebted to the many sources who so graciously shared with us photos, videos and audios of Sri KVN.
