“Today we’re taking a look at the 2002 G Germany 50 Euro Cents coin!
This coin is part of the first Euro series, introduced in 2002 when Germany adopted the Euro.
On the obverse, you’ll see the Brandenburg Gate, one of Germany’s most iconic monuments. It represents unity and peace. Surrounding it are the 12 stars of the European Union. The letter G is the mint mark for the Karlsruhe Mint.
The reverse shows the common Euro design with the map of Europe, symbolizing a united continent. This coin is made of Nordic Gold, giving it its distinctive golden color.
In circulated condition, the 2002-G 50-cent coin is worth its face value, but uncirculated coins can be worth €1 to €3, and proof coins from sets can reach €5 to €10. Error coins, such as misaligned strikes or die clashes, can be worth even more.
