From CASTLE RISING to COAST – A Norfolk Hiking Adventure

🌿 Join us on an 11-mile hike through the heart of Norfolk, starting in the quiet village of West Newton and winding through peaceful woodlands and open meadows to the historic gem of Castle Rising.

🛡️ Castle Rising is one of England’s best-preserved Norman keeps, built in the 12th century and steeped in royal history. Once home to Queen Isabella, the ‘She-Wolf of France,’ it’s a castle brimming with mystery and grandeur. Managed by English Heritage, the site offers a fascinating glimpse into medieval England.

🏰 After exploring the castle, the trail leads on to the beautifully maintained Sandringham Estate, the much-loved country retreat of the Royal Family. Surrounded by expansive parklands and ancient trees, it's a peaceful place steeped in both tradition and tranquility.

🌺 From there, the hike continues through idyllic countryside, finishing with a stunning poppy field, where I captured breath-taking aerial footage with the drone. The sight of vibrant red poppies swaying in the breeze is simply magical.

🌅 And to cap off the day, we arrive at the Norfolk coast in Hunstanton just in time for sunset. The dramatic cliffs, shaped by millions of years of geological history, make for a perfect end to the journey.
