Timelapse: ‘Light My Bricks’ LEGO 75212 Kessel Run Millennium Falcon

This is a unique time lapse as this features me “retrofitting” this Lego Kessel Run Millennium Falcon 75212 with a ‘Light my Bricks’ light kit. My Lego UCS Millennium Falcon 75192 also got the retrofit with a ‘Light my Bricks’ light kit as well but didn’t film that one. I do admit that the light kits from ‘Light my Bricks’ are a bit on the steep side when it comes to pricing, but it more than makes up for the quality and somewhat resilience that show when one has to pinch these wires in between bricks.

For those who wish to retrofit their Lego (or Lepin) set, patience will go a long way to a successful installment. The wires and LEDs are very small and are incredibly fragile if handled too much, especially when putting them in between bricks. Try to make a correct installment ONCE if you can. Going beyond 3 attempts will result in a damaged wire or the LED being severed completely from the wire, which was my case that happened on the UCS Millennium Falcon. With a great deal of dumb luck (or the force), I was able to somehow to solder it back on to working order.

It’s worth it though at the end as your sets will come to life. Just try not to have kids play with something like the Kessel Run Millennium Falcon with the retrofit!
