MSC Virtuosa, Northern Europe New Year Party🥂🎊

MSC Virtuosa 2023 – A Holiday of Different Flavours!
 
A 7-day cruise to ring the New Year on the high seas - Virtuosa style!
 
Our holiday sojourn started in France, with strolls through the Parisian streets that tell romantic tales, chased sunsets in the City of Love, and basked in the transient beauty of the Eiffel Tower.
 
A two-hour train ride through resplendent landscapes brought us to the “Harbour of Grace” in Le Havre, where the grand MSC Virtuosa awaited; which, shortly after, sailed to the coast of Hampshire in the vibrant and diverse city of Southampton, UK.  
 
A drift through the night brought us to a city port on the River Elbe, the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg - the gateway to the world, whose beauty has long been chiselled in brick and sandstone!
 
Not to be outdone a night later, Bruges presented itself to our revelling eyes, where Longfellow aptly wrote:  “In the market-place of Bruges stands the belfry old and brown; thrice consumed and thrice rebuilt; still it watches o’er the town.” The beers and chocolates were divine to our palates!
 
The not-so-ideal weather did not dampen our spirits, as we braved the rain and strong winds to immerse in the vibrant culture, rich history, inclusiveness, and beautiful canals of Amsterdam.
 
In-between ports, a different enchantment brewed on-board the Virtuosa – the themed parties; with the flower-glory evening transported us to the 70’s that showcased  disco moves long forgotten; the elegant evening adorned with class and beautiful people; the white party that provided warmth to our hearts on a rather chilly winter night, and the ringing of the New Year that rivalled the NYC count-down.
 
Like in any other, all good things must come to an end…and so did this! Back to France, where it all started, we disembarked the grand ship with sadness but full hearts, with memories to remind us of eternal gratefulness!  In all of blessings, To God be the Glory!
