U.S. Marines with Marine Rotational Force–Darwin (MRF-D 25.3), Philippine Marines from Marine Battalion Landing Team 7, and Australian Army soldiers with 2nd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, conducted an amphibious assault rehearsal during Exercise Alon 2025 in San Vicente, Philippines, Aug. 23, 2025.
Supported by the Royal Canadian Navy, Exercise Alon is a bilateral and multinational amphibious training exercise that brings together the Australian Defence Force, Armed Forces of the Philippines, and U.S. Marines. The training enhances interoperability, crisis response readiness, and joint amphibious warfare capabilities in the Indo-Pacific.
As part of MRF-D’s six-month rotational deployment, U.S. Marines train alongside allies and partners across the region, ensuring a forward-postured crisis response force and strengthening military cooperation to maintain regional stability and security.
