Gurpreet Sekhon, after serving his sentence in the world of crime, is now trying to return to the mainstream, for which he has chosen politics. In the ongoing District Council and Block Samiti elections in Punjab, Sekhon has fielded his wife and another relative as candidates. But even before the elections, the police arrested Sekhon, stating that he could create disturbance during the polls. On the other hand, Sekhon’s family claims that he was arrested so that he cannot campaign for his candidates and prevent them from winning. Now, the final decision lies in the hands of the people.
ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸੇਖੋਂ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਭੁਗਤ ਕੇ ਹੁਣ ਮੁੱਖ ਧਾਰਾ ਚ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ,ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਉਸਨੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਚ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਜਿਲਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਸ਼ਦ ਤੇ ਬਲਾਕ ਸੰਮਤੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਖੋਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਤੇ ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਚ ਉਤਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤੋ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਹੀ ਦੇਖੋ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਇਹ ਦਸਕੇ ਕਿ ਚੋਣ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਅਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਫੈਲ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਸੇਖੋਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਇਹ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੇਖੋਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ ਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਜਿੱਤ ਨਾ ਸਕਣ। ਹੁਣ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।
