I really just wanted to ramble about the Roman Empire for some reason. So here's me talking about the Punic wars that i learnt about from Oversimplified lololol. The information won't be the most accurate because I watched the video like 2 months ago while studying for my exams so my memory isn't super fresh. I'd watch history videos at night to fall asleep because I'd sometimes get insomnia.

I've never quite done an audio where I just tell you a long ass story lmao. I love telling and listening to stories, in a way that's basically what I do anyway. Except now, it's literally in a more direct way.

Wanna know something kinda funny?
A couple years ago, an older coworker of mine was telling me about how she finally started dating and had met a guy. When I asked her about who it was, it turned out to be someone I knew quite well! And from the conversations I had with this girl, it was very obvious that she was completely smitten over him. She'd go on and on about him, which was really sweet. So I'd told the guy I'd found out he was dating the girl, and told him that she really seemed to like him. When he found out, he was relieved caused he really liked her too but I suppose they were both to nervous/shy to say that to each other.
The next day, I went into work and told her I'd talked to him. She was really excited and wanted details on everything that happened, and amidst that she asked me advice on how she can impress him some more.
And just like that, a little light bulb flickered in my head and I had a harmless prank pop up.
I told her that he was OBSESSED with the Roman Empire, and knew every single detail about them. She was really shocked and said she thought that was a meme. I told her nope, it's a very serious things for guys and we never joke about the Roman Empire, and it was one of the no-go's in banter. It is incredibly serious to us, and every guy has read up about them. To me absolute pleasure, she believed me and started asking me stuff about the Roman Empire that they could talk about. I told her some fun facts but also lied and told her that the Roman Empire is the most important thing in a guy's life yada yada. And she believed it.
Our shifts aligned again a couple days later and boy she was angry😂
It turns out, she spent all night that night learning everything about the Roman Empire, learning cool fun facts, how they lived on a day-to-day basis, their most important emperors and other things. And when she called the guy to talk to him about it, he knew nothing about the Roman Empire😭😭😭
It was a harmless but kinda mean prank, and I did feel pretty bad but she saw the funny side of it too and we laughed it off. I don't think their relationship lasted long. I don't know what happened because they both actually moved cities so I never really heard from either of them again.
