Jacaranda Festival 2025 – Applecross Perth 🌸
This year’s Jacaranda Festival was extra special for Yen and me — it marks one whole year together as a couple in Australia. We actually went on our very first date at the 2024 festival, so coming back in 2025 felt symbolic, meaningful, and honestly a little emotional. Walking under those purple trees again brought back all the memories of how it all started… and now we’re here as husband and wife, with the Brandon on the way. ❤️

The streets of Applecross were buzzing with colour, music, and the smell of amazing food. Even though the weather was a bit cloudy with a few sprinkles of rain, it actually made the purple trees look even brighter. The rain didn’t last long — mostly it was a comfortable, nice day to wander around and enjoy the festival. Oh and we also got to bump into popular youtuber MrSikkant!

🍽️ Food Adventures
The food choices were incredible this year. Huge pans of paella cooking away, rich Indian curries filling the air with spices, dessert stands, street snacks, and so many different cuisines to try.
Our highlight? The Bratwurst beef sausages loaded with proper German sauerkraut. We grabbed ours from a really friendly stall owner love meeting passionate local vendors who put their heart into their food.

🎨 Art, Culture & Creativity
We also checked out some seriously impressive artwork. From vibrant paintings to handmade crafts and detailed pieces, the local artists brought their A-game. Yen especially loved some of the hand-painted works, and we spent a good while exploring all the stalls. Perth creativity never disappoints. We met a local stall owner from giveagain and had a nice chat with her and purchased one of her products.

🌦️ Clouds, Sprinkles & Purple Streets
Even with the little bursts of rain, the festival vibe stayed strong. The jacaranda petals covering the streets, the crowds, and the relaxed atmosphere made it a perfect spot to celebrate our anniversary. Coming back to the place where our story began — from our first date in 2024 to celebrating one year in 2025 — made the day feel really special.
