2 brothers arrested after separate high-speed chases in King County

Two brothers were arrested following two separate high-speed chases that spanned across King County and involved multiple law enforcement agencies on Wednesday.

The first incident began around 8:20 p.m. when a Washington State Patrol trooper tried to stop a car for improper merging on westbound I-90 near Preston.

The driver, identified by the WSP as 21-year-old Victor A. Hernandez-Paredes, refused to stop, prompting a pursuit. Despite a Pursuit Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver, the chase continued until the car stopped on an eastbound I-90 ramp.

During the pursuit, a silver Infiniti G37 repeatedly interfered with the trooper.
