When tens of thousands of visitors poured into Universal Orlando for one of the biggest summer events of the year, no one imagined the celebration would become the starting point of a full-scale catastrophe. I was working my shift as an attraction operator, walking the same pathways I had walked hundreds of times before, when the first collapse happened near the Hollywood entrance. At first, everyone thought it was just heat or exhaustion—common in the Florida sun—but within minutes, people were getting back up in ways no one could explain, moving with a focus and aggression that spread panic through the crowds faster than any warning could.
What began as a single medical call turned into a chain reaction that swept through both parks, CityWalk, and the surrounding areas. Guests fled in every direction, rides shut down mid-operation, alarms echoed across the resort, and workers like me were forced to choose between protocol and survival.
