This video is fake. It is only an edit/mockup.
The first version of Flappy Bird dates back to 1995, released as a shareware game for PC with the same name. The game was developed by a software company called MindScream. It's very similar to its 2013 mobile version, in terms of gameplay, graphics and character design. It was bundled in several shareware disks distributed in retail stores and via BBS, with a 7-day trial and a price of $15.95.
The game was incredibly obscure, especially when compared to the mobile version, making it abnormally rare to find. The only evidence of this game's existence is a video recording of someone playing the game on May 31st, 1996, which is the very video you see here. This video shows a couple minutes of gameplay, running on a Windows 95 computer.
Just a little filler video to make sure I don't upload only one video this year. This was pretty fun to make, and I hope you'll enjoy it! More content coming soon (hopefully)!
