Darkness of Sorrow is a popular Ghanaian romantic drama released in 2006. It stars Van Vicker and Nadia Buari in the lead roles.
The film follows Kayla (Nadia Buari), a blind beautiful lady who falls in love with a kind-hearted man named Charles (Van Vicker) after he saves her from an accident. Charles generously pays for a surgery to restore her sight, but he disappears on the very day she is meant to see again.
Months later, Kayla becomes engaged to Ken (Ekow Smith Asante), who, unbeknownst to her, is Charles's best friend. The conflict intensifies when a presumed-dead Charles resurfaces, now faced with the challenge of either interfering with Kayla's new life or keeping his secret and sacrificing his own happiness.
