Ibanez RG321 MH

I bought this guitar covered in an awful paint job, but I new there was something special hidden underneath, namely a beautiful solid mahogany body!  I took the guitar to pieces and stripped the body back to wood, before staining it with a red and black burst to emulate the Ibanez Blackberry burst whilst enhancing the Mahogany grain. I finished the body in multiple coats of Crimson Guitars finishing oil and then home made bees wax polish.  The pick ups have been replaced by custom made ones.Whilst the guitar was in pieces I took the opportunity to clean everything right down to dipping ever screw into white vinegar and wiping off any corrosion.  The guitar is now in near perfect condition the only imperfection to speak of is a slight crease in the neck pick up surround from a dink I was unable to completely remove.  I did have to replace one pot and put new knobs on I chose black to fit in with the colour theme.  In my opinion this guitar with custom pups and and body colour is better than it ever was new and since I added new strings it is ready to play!
