24V Power Supply from Two HP Server PSUs

⚠️ Be careful when working with power supplies in series and grounding. Connecting your PC or USB devices while your power supplies are connected in series can create dangerous ground voltage differences and damage your electronics.

If you are using this setup, make sure you understand the risks and know how to isolate your second power supply safely. Removing or disconnecting earth ground incorrectly can be dangerous if your system has exposed metal or a PSU fault.

Always check voltages with your multimeter before connecting your USB or grounds.

In this video, I show you step-by-step how to build a 24V power supply using two HP server power supplies in series for your projects.

Each PSU can deliver up to 1200W, making it perfect for powering multiple machines from a single, stable 24V source. We cover safely isolating ground, forcing always on, wiring, testing, and enclosure building.

⚠️ Safety First:
We’re working with high current and high voltage. Be extremely careful and double-check your wiring, continuity, and insulation. For high power applications, use separate wall outlets to avoid overloading circuits.

This setup is ideal for CNC, robotics, and large LED projects requiring stable 24V at high current.
