This video shows an alternative option for the replacement of the motor and fan for an existing "mushroom" shaped roof attic fan, maintaining the existing metal roof housing and installing a new motor and fan below the housing between the roof rafters. Avoids working on roof and disturbing shingles. This method is an option when the existing motor and blades are not easily replaced inside the housing.
