Located in the Far North on the Karikari Peninsular, Maitai Bay is 336km North of Auckland on the East Coast, known for its pristine white sands, clear blue water, and scenic setting. It's a popular destination for activities like swimming, fishing, and kayaking, with a nearby Department of Conservation campground nestled among native trees. The bay is a heart-shaped, double-crescent bay featuring two main beaches, Maitai Bay and Waikato Bay, and is accessible via a scenic drive from Kaitaia or KeriKeri.
