The first snowstorm of the 2024-2025 winter season struck Southern Ontario on December 1, 2024, bringing heavy snowfall, and strong wind. The storm caused widespread disruptions, with many roads becoming treacherous and transportation delays affecting commuters across the region. Schools and businesses reported closures, and some flights were grounded as visibility dropped.

Despite the chaos, I decided to head out for a walk in the snow.

The world felt quieter, with the thick, soft snow blanketing everything in sight. The air was crisp and refreshing, and the only sounds were the crunch of snow underfoot and the occasional gust of wind rustling through the trees. It was a peaceful escape from the busy storm, as I watched the flakes swirl around me, feeling the winter's full embrace. Though the weather was far from ideal for travel, it made for a beautiful, serene moment in the midst of the storm.
