Solo Gatekeepers, no Bugged Surges | Episode Heresy: Act 1 (Destiny 2)

This is it, the hardest encounter of Vault of Glass done solo this season (coincidentally, also the hardest current solo raid encounter given Taniks is currently not considered to be possible, I believe). It is definitely harder than last season's Gatekeepers solo as going from a debuffing Lost Signal for overloads to being forced to use a Chill Clip weapon due to the absence of any helpful alternative on the artifact is rough. That is pretty much the only major difference at this point in time.

I believe as the episode progresses this solo will get a little easier, as the rocket sidearm with Shoot to Loot and Destabilizing Rounds is likely an upgrade from the trace rifle used here, and it is possible that some other mod comes around that helps slightly in some way or other. Will have to see about that part.

Now that this is done, all that's left is for me to keep practicing this and Atheon and work towards a flawless completion. This time around, we have months of the sandbox staying this way (minus a potential fix to the artifact mod boost that's giving me a ton of class ability energy), so it is almost certain that this is the episode we finally see post Final Shape solo flawless Vault of Glass clears. Please let me be absolutely clear, however, that this is no small feat, and that it has taken multiple months and hundreds of hours for me to even get to this point of proficiency with the encounters. If you wish to go for this, be prepared for Vault of Glass to be the literal only thing you do the rest of the season. Good luck to everyone running :)
