The 4x4 That Became an Australian Icon | In My Garage EP 5: Brian Rhodes

The seed for Brian to build his dream 4x4 was originally sown in 1991. Fresh upon his arrival to Australia from the UK and having never seen a Toyota BJ40 Land Cruiser before, his first encounter with a BJ40 left an impression summed up with one word, “wow”.

More than 20 years later, in 2012, Brian finally purchased his very own BJ40 Land Cruiser. He then began what would eventually become a four-year restoration project. Applying many of his own touches along the way, the end result is the 4x4 that Brian always dreamed of owning and one that draws plenty of attention at local car shows.
