Swapping out the original 13/16" brake master cylinder for a 1" brake master cylinder on a 1982 Toyota 4x4. With larger tires and brakes on the truck, the original 13/16" bore master cylinder just doesn't move enough brake fluid in the pedal stroke. The swap is a direct bolt in with the only modifications being that you need to bend one brake hard line a bit, and re-wire the reservoir fluid level sensor plug to match the old one. If you've swapped in V6 calipers and vented rotors, or done the wide-track rear end conversion, or put on rear disc brakes, you really need to increase the size of the brake master to meet the needs of the larger braking systems.
