Avro CF 100 - Canada's Cold War fighter aircraft

The CF-100 participated in units defending North America and Western Europe during the Cold War. Not to be confused with the F-100 Super Sabre, the CF-100 was designed and built by Canada. It resembles other Western interceptors of its time in design and weapon systems. It's principle weapon was the 2.75 in "Mighty Mouse" folding fin aircraft rocket (FFAR), said by some sources to pack the punch of a 75mm artillery shell, but which proved inaccurate in practice.
