FULL JOURNEY: BANGALORE TO MYSORE (PART- I)

Hi all!

Presenting you the FULL JOURNEY COVERAGE FROM BANGALORE TO MYSORE IN RAJYARANI EXPRESS.

The BANGALORE - MYSORE route is replete with numerous curves, green flora and many gradients making a gorgeous sight.

A HUBLI WDG4 was in charge of our train, and we cruised South West towards Mysore through the lovely hinterland of Karnataka, amidst coconut palms, incredible curves and steep Gradients.

We depart Bangalore at 10.30 am. We soon begin to negotiate sharp curves with a long honk show shooing away the trespassers. Pilots find it difficult to handle the WDG4 in the LHF mode due to the protruding structure at its front. We gather some momentum and cruise thru the suburbs of Bangalore and skip Nayandahalli at a decent pace.

Arrived Satellite town Kengeri after 30 minutes and make it to Bidadi at 11.10am. Hejjala skipped midway with a tremendous honking. Dunno What the pilot was upto?

After Bidadi, we run parallel to the Bangalore - Mysore highway racing against the road buddies. After a brief halt at Ramanagaram, we move ahead. Next halt Channapatna. We are greeted with picturesque scenes post Channapatna. I call this the REAL INDIA. Unscheduled halt at the newly renovated Settihalli Expected an overtake, but we occupy the main line.

I move to the door to stretch myself. Nidaghatta Halt ripped with continuous honking. And finally, the Mickey says left!! As we loop into Maddur, the late running Kannur-Yesvantpur Express zooms past us with the chugging ALCo's from Krishnarajapuram. Showers begin and spoil the show.

Finally decided to make it to the other side to get a better view. Mainline goes green and Yes!! It was for the Fastest Train in the Bangalore - Mysore Section. 12007 Chennai - Mysore Shatabdi. powered by a WDP4 curves blinks displays a bus kinda honk show and overtakes my train.

After the overtake, we depart Maddur with a 20 minute delay.
