Star Trek: Starfleet Academy might actually be the point where the franchise completely gives up pretending it understands what Star Trek is.

This isn’t thoughtful sci-fi. This isn’t exploration. This isn’t Star Trek.

What we’re getting instead is a soulless, committee-designed, CW-tier teen drama wearing a Starfleet uniform. It’s shallow, safe, corporate, and painfully out of touch with the fans who kept this franchise alive for decades. This show isn’t made for Star Trek fans. It’s made for executives chasing trends that died five years ago. If you’re sick of seeing Star Trek dragged through the mud, you’re not alone.
