Tuckman's model, also known as Tuckman's Stages of Group Development, describes a group's typical stages as it develops and matures.
Bruce Tuckman introduced the model in 1965. It initially included four stages, with the fifth stage added in 1977. The model is often used in team development and group dynamics.
Bruce Tuckman was born in New York City, USA. Throughout his career as a psychologist and researcher, he lived and worked primarily in the United States. He spent part of his professional life at various American universities, including Princeton University and Ohio State University.
