I told myself it’d just be a gentle plod at Poole Parkrun — a nice leg stretch, nothing serious. Fast-forward 10 minutes and I’m being overtaken by dinosaurs. Actual dinosaurs. Three of them (it's Halloween)
It’s the start of training again — countdown to The Amazing Thailand Marathon in Bangkok (36 days to go!), and I already feel like I need another taper. My legs are still traumatised from Yorkshire, my shoes have swallowed a boulder, and my main motivation was a Spoons breakfast.
There’s sunshine, running pals, chaos, and a deflated dinosaur by the end. A perfect Saturday really.
