Joginder Ugrahan’s Big Statement from Chandigarh Protest | D5 Exclusive

Farmer leader Joginder Singh Ugrahan, in an exclusive interview with D5, spoke strongly on the sidelines of the Chandigarh protest.
He said farmers have submitted a memorandum to the Punjab Government demanding immediate action on key issues.
Ugrahan opposed the Electricity Amendment Bill, privatization of mandis, and the Seed Bill, calling them “direct threats to Punjab’s farmers.” He warned that corporates are trying to capture agriculture, electricity, ports, and essential sectors.
On Chandigarh and Punjab University, Ugrahan affirmed that Punjab’s rights cannot be compromised and that farmers will resist any central interference.
Citing past betrayals, he said companies like Pepsi once made agreements to buy chilli and potato from farmers but later refused, proving why farmers don’t trust corporates.
He concluded strongly:
“SKM has shown that when people gather and protest, governments are forced to bow.”
