This is gameplay for Pitfall 3D on the PS1 as played on a PS2 with texture smoothing on.
Aside from probably being one of the first games Bruce Campbell lent his voice to, Pitfall 3D is probably the most forgotten entry into the Pitfall series. Everyone remembers the Atari Pitfall games, and, more recently, have taken more notice of Super Pitfall thanks to AVGN covering it. Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure was also very popular in the 16 bit era. I've even heard a lot more about Pitfall Harry than I have about Pitfall 3D, and I'm not sure why exactly.
The game has it's own quirks, and annoyances for sure, but it is still a pretty good game from what I've played of it. The annoying bounce back when Harry even so much as touches a wall can be annoying; the camera works, but is hardly the best for a game like this; and, as you may be able to tell from the footage, the game does not support analog control. It is D-Pad only.
Pitfall 3D was released in early 1998, and though Sony had a dual analog controller out in 1997, the Dual Shock controller did not come out, or become widely used by PS1 gamers or developers until later that year. It's development predates analog control being the standard.
I only recently acquired this game myself. I have, probably, had it for a little less than a year, and I haven't had time to do a full playthrough of the game, so I can't judge the full game yet, but from what I've played of the early levels, I've liked. It doesn't rewrite the book, and there are better PS1 games in the genre, but if you can get past the quirks, this is a good, cheap pickup for the PS1.
NOTE: I edited out the load times for this video. This is also one of those PS1 games that doesn't work that well with fast loading, because it speeds up Bruce Campbell's one-liners.
