My son and I booked into the Ibis hotel near Manchester airport.
We landed around 11pm, and needed to get the train in the morning, so booked the cheapest hotel (£120) that was within walking distance of the airport. The room was TINY!
breakfast was a cold buffet, it was nothing special, but fine considering it was included in the price.
Lets face it, you are coming here for any other reason than the airport, so I guess it does all you need for a lay over.
