In this video, I’ll show you how to replace the oil pressure sensor for the Variable Valve Timing (VVT) on a 2011 Honda Pilot (2nd Generation, 3.5L V6). This repair process can also apply to other Honda models equipped with the same engine, such as the Honda Odyssey and Honda Ridgeline.
A faulty VVT oil pressure sensor can trigger a check engine light with the P3400 code, disable ECO mode, reduce engine performance, and even cause engine shuttering during acceleration. Fortunately, this is a simple DIY repair that can be completed with basic tools.
For this repair, I’m using the Innova SD35 OBD2 scanner to confirm the code and clear the check engine light after the sensor replacement. This compact but powerful scanner works on any OBD2-equipped vehicle and is a great tool for DIY diagnostics. #HondaPilot #HondaRepair #CheckEngineLight #P3400 #OBD2Scanner #CarDIY #HondaOdyssey #HondaRidgeline #carmaintenance
