H. Purcell: Music for a While (from "Oedipus") - Dragana Popović and New Trinity Baroque

"Music for a While" is probably Henry Purcell's most known song. It was composed in 1692 for a play "Oedipus", Z. 583, on the text by John Dryden and Nathan Lee. This performance features Serbian mezzo-soprano Dragana Popović, with New Trinity Baroque's Srdjan Stanić on a viol and Predrag Gosta on a harpsichord. It comes from the concert presented in September 2019 at the City Hall in Novi Sad, during the Novi Sad Chamber Music Festival.

As an active recording ensemble, NTB published 10 CDs - the latest one featuring Buxtehude’s cantatas “Membra Jesu Nostri”. The musicians of NTB also tour regularly, where they appeared at festivals such as the Korkyra Baroque and the Varaždin Baroque Evenings Festival (Croatia), Sastamala Gregoriana (Finland), and the Belgrade Early Music Festival (Serbia), as well as early music festivals in Boston, Amherst and Charleston (USA).
