■The Album’s Narrative
This album tells the story of a man who awakens to a strange, untamed power inside his body.

Once, he dreamed of protecting the world together with someone important, standing proudly on the front lines. But reality didn’t go his way. He failed to reach the role he admired and instead chose to work in the shadows, cleaning up the aftermath of battles. While he disposed of the remains of massive creatures day after day, his dream slowly blurred and faded into the distance.

One day, “something” invades his body.
Bones creak, and an inhuman power awakens beneath his skin.
No longer fully human, not entirely a monster, he finds himself transformed into something in between. In fear and confusion, he still chooses to wield that power to save the lives right in front of him.

At the same time, this choice puts him in the position of being hunted as an “enemy of humanity.”
He laughs together with his comrades as a human, while also living as a designated threat to be taken down.
Carrying this secret, he is forced to stand on the thin borderline between “human” and “inhuman” again and again.

His past of supporting the battlefield from behind.
The test grounds where he chose to try again, even though he was “too old.”
The bonds with comrades who silently entrust him with their backs.
And the resolve to keep fighting for someone’s tomorrow, even though he knows that one day the gun barrels might turn toward him.

The answer he finally reaches is surprisingly simple:

“I don’t have to be called a hero.
As long as I can protect someone’s tomorrow, that’s enough.”

He is full of contradictions, clumsy, and far from perfect—
but even so, he never lets go of his kindness.
This album is the sound of that untamed heart beating between light and darkness.
I hope its pulse can keep you company while you work, study, or spend time alone at night.

■アルバムストーリー
このアルバムは、「異形の力」に目覚めてしまったひとりの男の物語です。

かつて彼は、誰かと一緒に世界を守ることを夢見ていました。けれど現実はうまくいかず、憧れていた最前線には立てず、「戦いの後始末」をする裏方として生きる道を選びます。倒された巨大な存在の残骸を片付ける日々の中で、夢は遠くかすんでいきました。

ある日、彼の身体に“何か”が侵入し、骨が軋み、皮膚の下で異形の力が目を覚まします。
人でも怪物でもない存在へと変わってしまった彼は、恐怖と混乱の中で、それでも目の前の命を救うためにその力を振るってしまう。

それは同時に、「人類の敵」として狙われる立場に身を置くことでもありました。
人として笑い合う仲間たちと、討伐対象としての自分。
秘密を抱えたまま前線に立ち続ける中で、彼はいつも「人間」と「異形」の境界線の上に立つことを強いられます。

裏方として戦場を支えてきた過去。
年齢的にも遅すぎる再挑戦を選んだ試験場。
黙って背中を預け合う仲間との絆。
そして、いつか銃口が自分に向くかもしれないと知りながら、それでも誰かの明日のために戦い続ける覚悟。

彼が最後に辿り着く答えは、とてもシンプルです。

「ヒーローと呼ばれなくていい。ただ、誰かの“明日”を守れたなら、それでいい。」

矛盾だらけで、不器用で、それでも優しさを捨てなかった異形の心臓。
