Khao Chi Chan (also known as Laser Buddha Mountain) is one of the most popular tourist attractions near Pattaya, Thailand.

🌟 What Makes It Special?

The highlight is a giant Buddha image carved into the face of a limestone mountain.
The carving is 130 meters tall and 70 meters wide, making it one of the largest Buddha images in the world.
It was created using laser technology and then filled with 24-karat gold, giving it a stunning golden outline.

Built in 1996 to honor King Rama IX.
The mountain was originally used for mining, but the area was transformed into a peaceful religious site.

About 20–30 minutes from Pattaya City.

🏛️ What Is the Sanctuary of Truth?
It’s a 100% wooden temple built without nails (traditional joinery methods).
Construction started in 1981 and is still ongoing — meaning it’s a living architectural project.
The building is about 105 meters tall, inspired by ancient Thai, Khmer, Chinese, and Indian designs.

The Sanctuary isn’t just a temple—it’s a museum of Thai philosophy and craftsmanship.
It represents:

Inside, you’ll see intricate wooden carvings of gods, celestial beings, mythology, and symbolic animals.
