Kazakh (қазақ тілі, qazaq tili) is a Turkic language spoken primarily in Kazakhstan, where it is the official state language, as well as in parts of China (Xinjiang), Mongolia, Russia, Uzbekistan, and among Kazakh diaspora communities worldwide. It belongs to the Kipchak branch of the Turkic language family, closely related to Kyrgyz and Nogai. Kazakh is an agglutinative language characterized by vowel harmony and the extensive use of suffixes to express grammatical relationships. It is currently written in the Cyrillic script in Kazakhstan, with an ongoing transition to a Latin-based script, while Arabic script is used among Kazakh communities in China and the Middle East. Influenced by Russian due to historical ties during the Soviet era, Kazakh remains a key symbol of national identity and cultural heritage, spoken by approximately 13–15 million people.

Nogai (Ногай тили, Nogai tili) is a Turkic language spoken primarily by the Nogai people in the North Caucasus region of Russia, including Dagestan, Stavropol Krai, and Chechnya, with diaspora communities in Kazakhstan, Turkey, and other parts of Central Asia. It belongs to the Kipchak-Nogai branch of the Turkic language family, closely related to Kazakh and Karakalpak. Nogai is an agglutinative language characterized by vowel harmony and the extensive use of suffixes to indicate grammatical relationships. Historically written in Arabic and later Latin scripts, it is now written in Cyrillic. With around 80,000–90,000 speakers, Nogai has been influenced by Russian due to historical and political factors, but efforts continue to preserve the language through education, literature, and cultural activities.
