Honen-in is a spectacular small temple hidden in eastern Kyoto.😃
Its gate, covered with moss, is definitely a stunning scenic approach and the garden inside offers a great example of Japanese simplicity and elegance.
Even if quite small this temple offers an incredible and peaceful atmosphere.
Location: Sakyo Ward, Kyoto (京都市左京区)
