🙏 Bible in a Year Day 326 | Acts 9–12 – Transformation, Breakthrough, and the Unstoppable Gospel

Welcome to Day 326 of our 365-day Bible reading journey! Today’s chapters capture some of the most defining moments in the early church—Saul’s dramatic conversion, the expansion of the gospel to the Gentiles, miraculous deliverances, and the growing boldness of believers under persecution. Through every trial and triumph, one truth stands clear: the Word of God cannot be stopped.
In Acts 9, we witness one of the greatest transformations in history. Saul, a fierce persecutor of the church, encounters the risen Christ on the road to Damascus. Blinded by the glory of Jesus, Saul is led to Ananias, who—despite fear—obeys God and lays hands on him. Saul receives his sight, is filled with the Holy Spirit, and immediately begins proclaiming Jesus as the Son of God. Meanwhile, Peter performs miracles in Lydda and Joppa, raising Dorcas (Tabitha) from the dead—demonstrating that the same power that transformed Saul continues to advance God’s Kingdom.
Acts 10 marks a monumental turning point: the gospel is opened to the Gentiles. Through a vision, Peter learns that God shows no partiality, and no person is unclean in His sight. He is led to the home of Cornelius, a God-fearing Gentile, and while Peter preaches, the Holy Spirit falls upon all who hear. This divine outpouring confirms that salvation through Jesus is for all nations—Jew and Gentile alike.
In Acts 11, Peter recounts this incredible event to the believers in Jerusalem, who rejoice that God has granted repentance and life to the Gentiles. Meanwhile, the church in Antioch begins to flourish. It becomes the first major center of Gentile Christianity, and it is here that believers are first called Christians. Through prophetic insight, the church prepares to support fellow believers during an upcoming famine, modeling compassion and unity.
Acts 12 presents the church under intense persecution once again. King Herod executes James and imprisons Peter, intending to do the same. But the church prays earnestly, and God sends an angel to miraculously free Peter from his cell. Herod’s pride leads to his downfall, and the chapter ends with this triumphant declaration: “But the word of God grew and multiplied.” Opposition rises, but the gospel presses forward with unstoppable force.
